At Guiding Light Counseling LLC we believe in the power of the individual through the exploration and processing of the human experience. We focus on children (ages 3 to 12), teens (ages 13 to 17) and family counseling but also provide adult individual counseling and community education around the greater Saint Louis, MO area.
Our Services
PLAY THERAPY​
Children (ages 3 to 12) individual counseling addresses behavioral and emotional issues that impact a child's relationship with their peers and the world around them. Play therapy is designed to allow the use of expression through the form of play to understand, address and work through issues.
FAMILY COUNSELING
Family Counseling allows each family member an opportunity to voice their feelings, fears and concerns. Providing an opportunity for discussion and understanding through collaborative teamwork, family counseling is design to effectively address issues that affect all members.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Teens (ages 13 to 17) and Adult individual counseling facilitates the exploration and resolution of personal problems and issues according to the needs of the individual. These needs are identified at the start of counseling and will be reassessed throughout the process.
CLINICAL CONSULTATION
Provide formal and informal clinical consultation to various community institutions, organizations, agencies, and/or businesses. Consultation services aim to support staff and leadership in addressing mental health concerns, improving service delivery, and enhancing team dynamics.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Provide formal and informal psychoeducation to different community institutions, organizations, agencies and/or businesses. Topics range from trauma-informed practices and crisis intervention to burnout prevention, workplace communication, grief and bereavement, assertive communication to healthy relationships among others.
CLINICAL SUPERVISION
Provide formal clinical supervision to graduate students and mental health professionals across various community institutions, organizations, and agencies. Supervision focuses on fostering clinical growth, enhancing therapeutic skills, and ensuring adherence to ethical standards.
